Map My Mole

Advanced mole screening with consultant dermatologist review

Map My Mole is a clinically led service designed to assess moles and skin lesions quickly and accurately. High-resolution images are taken and securely sent to a consultant dermatologist for review.

Why consider Map My Mole?

You may wish to have a mole assessed if you notice:

• A new mole or skin lesion
• A mole that has changed in size, shape or colour
• Irregular or uneven borders
• A lesion that looks different from others
• Concerns about a specific area of skin

Early assessment provides reassurance and, where necessary, guidance on next steps.

How does it work?

• The lesion is photographed using specialist imaging equipment
• Images are securely submitted for dermatologist review
• A report is returned, usually within a 24–48 hour timeframe
• You receive clear guidance on whether further action is needed

This provides a fast and convenient alternative to waiting for referral through traditional pathways.

Map My Mole is a screening service and does not replace a full dermatology consultation where required. If further investigation is recommended, appropriate referral pathways will be discussed.

CryoPen®

Precise removal of benign skin lesions

CryoPen® is a medical device used to treat a range of benign skin lesions using controlled cryotherapy. It works by delivering a fine jet of cold nitrous oxide gas to the targeted area, causing the lesion to freeze and gradually resolve.

What can be treated?

• Skin tags
• Seborrhoeic keratoses
• Age spots
• Cherry angiomas
• Milia
• Warts and verrucas

All lesions are assessed prior to treatment to ensure suitability.

How is it done?

• The lesion is assessed
• Cryotherapy is applied in a precise, controlled manner
• The treatment is quick and well tolerated
• The area may darken and naturally resolve over time

In some cases, more than one treatment may be required.

Downtime

You may experience redness, mild swelling and a small scab or crust forming. Healing occurs over several days to weeks depending on the lesion.

Safety first

Only benign lesions are treated. If there is any uncertainty, you will be advised to seek further medical assessment before treatment. Your safety is always the priority.
