What are chemical peels?

Chemical peels use carefully selected acids to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin and stimulate renewal. Results are progressive and improve with a course of treatments.

At Gray's Aesthetics, I use medical-grade chemical peels from ZO Skin Health and AlumierMD, selected based on your skin type and treatment goals. These are clinically developed formulations designed to deliver controlled, predictable results safely.

How is it done?

Following assessment, the most appropriate peel is selected for your skin. During the procedure the skin is cleansed and prepared, the peel solution is carefully applied, the treatment is monitored closely, the skin is neutralised (where appropriate) and aftercare products are applied. You will be given clear aftercare advice to support your results.

Downtime

Downtime varies depending on the type of peel used. You may experience mild redness, light peeling or flaking, and temporary dryness. Most people return to normal activities quickly.
